Nathan Aguilar, Ph.D., LCSW, is a dedicated social work professional and academic, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at New York University Silver School of Social Work. With a Ph.D. from Columbia University and extensive experience in community violence intervention and gun violence prevention, Dr. Aguilar has made significant contributions through his research, publications, and conference presentations. His work is characterized by a compassionate approach to understanding and addressing the experiences of marginalized communities, particularly those affected by violence and trauma. ​ As a licensed clinical social worker, he also provides clinical supervision and therapeutic support, demonstrating his commitment to social justice and the well-being of individuals and communities.
